ITE Education Model refines technical education in Singapore by promoting autonomy and flexibility at ITE Colleges, while encouraging innovation, diversification and competition. With a new model of Minds-on, Hands-on and Hearts-on learning at the ITE Colleges, our students will acquire the knowledge and skills be independent-thinking and flexible practitioners, with a passion for lifelong learning and values as caring and gracious Singaporeans.

Higher National ITE Certificate (Higher Nitec) GCE 'O' or eligible N(A) level school leavers and National ITE Certificate (Nitec) GCE 'O' or 'N' level school leaver. ITE full-time student enrolment reached an all-time high of 23,500 in 2006.  Each year, ITE takes in about 12,000 students, of whom 29% were 'O' level students, 18% were from Normal (Academic) and 53% from Normal (Technical).
