Singapore JC - Meridian Junior College

Meridian Junior College, MJC or MJ, started operations in 2003 at the suggestion of Rear Adm Teo Chee Hean, then Education Minister, to establish a new college in the Pasir Ris area, taking on the name "Meridian" to indicate a culture of aiming for the highest. Despite its relative young college, it has made remarkable achievements on both the academic and co-curricular activities.

Meridian Junior College operates in a state-of-the-art campus which comprises a wide range of facilities, spanning from a fully-equipped gym to rehearsal rooms for various performing arts groups, complete with pianos and dance studios. A notable fixture is the College Library (Library@Meridian), an independent 2-storeyed block, run by the National Library Board, housing a growing collection of books. The college also boasts a fully air-conditioned hall, 5 lecture theatres equipped with audio-visual equipment, and a large sports block and track.
